Planet Organic & Outfit of the Day

A Mix of Raw Pad Thai, Greek & Protein Packed (Quinoa) Salad

If you are ever around Liverpool Street Station and fancy a quiet (ish) spot with a bonus of healthy (ish) foods, try Planet Organic at Devonshire Square. The store extends to a swell café, complete with a quaint courtyard outdoor seating. My friend Kanchan and I landed at Planet Organic post work at about 6 pm and there was no food left except for some salads and pies :(

On the menu they offer a selection of hot & cold beverages that include organic alcoholic drinks, juices and smoothies. In addition to a huge salad bar, they also do hot foods such as pies, quiches, sausage rolls and pasties. Furthermore, they also throw in a few daily "specials" such as beef lasagne, sausages & gravy, Mediterranean chicken etc.

Both of us cannot wait to go back there around lunchtime for a hearty albeit healthy meal. Now I won't be surprised if it gets extremely busy and loud at that time of the day considering there are a lot of offices around Devonshire Square. But thats okay! We'll do anything for good food ;)

Anyhow, we had a lush time catching up over salad, organic cider and gin & tonic.  I  highly recommend Planet Organic for the following reasons-
  • It is a good break from traditional pubs & cafes.
  • If the "Great British Weather" allows, you can sit outside, enjoy a drink or two and unwind with friends after wrapping up work.
  • It's not noisy at all compared to pubs & bars; lets face it pubs can get really loud. This basically implies that you can have real conversations and won't end up with a sore throat because of constant screaming  & shouting, trying to beat the noise & chatter.
  • You can eat healthy & organic food!
  • You can do a bit of grocery as well as skincare shopping from the store. Drink, eat, socialise & shop all under one roof. Genius!

And now lets take a quick look at what I wore that day! Jumping on board with the whole 70s vibe, I really enjoyed wearing flares after so so long! I've kept the rest of my look extremely simple and basic so that my flared denims could make a strong statement whilst being the focal point of this outfit.

What do you think about the flared denims trend? Yay or Nay?
